BANDAR LAMPUNG (ISN) – Weak supervision and management of parking at the Wayhalim Sports Activity Center (PKOR), Bandar Lampung, has resulted in visitors who are doing sports losing their motorbikes.

Even though the victim lost a vehicle in the PKOR area, neither the parking manager nor the UPTD made any compensation for the loss suffered by the victim. This was said by the Head of UPTD Heris M.
“That the parking manager and the related UPTD will not make compensation because the loss was indeed the fault of the victim himself, because this was the victim’s negligence, and on the ticket it was also clear that all forms of loss of goods were not the responsibility of the party. the manager or the UPTD, so there is no compensation for the vehicle for the loss,” he said when met. When asked whether the proceeds from the parking retribution were handed over to the Lampung provincial government as PAD, his party answered that they would later be handed over.
“The results from the management of the parking fee will later be deposited for PAD,” he added.
In response to this, one of the legal observers assessed that what was conveyed by the head of the UPT was in the form of an alibi, in order to avoid responsibility.
“You can’t immediately say that there is no compensation written on the ticket, then they just let go. They are the ones who manage it, so what accountability do they give, with the retribution they ask for visitors??. The law can’t talk because there is written on the ticket, then off the responsibility,” he said.
He further said that it was necessary to verify that the retribution proceeds were deposited into PAD.
“It needs to be checked, is it true that it was deposited or not? Because we know that not a few visitors come in and out of PKOR, especially during holidays, or when there is an event. So this needs to be a common concern, especially the Head of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Governor,” he said. (RED)
